Reading about a routine is not the same as seeing it. Each video below shows a real teacher with real students doing one of the routines this site recommends. We link to the people who filmed them; nothing here is copied or re-hosted.

Where they come from. Most are from three free libraries: the Australian Education Research Organisation, whose classroom series is published under an open license; Reading Universe, WETA's reading library filmed in Atlanta and Oklahoma classrooms; and Doug Lemov's Teach Like a Champion blog. A few come from the New South Wales education department and England's Education Endowment Foundation. Australian and English classrooms look a little different from American ones; the routines don't.

What's missing. We have not yet found a free, well-filmed clip of a K–2 choral math-facts routine, a whole-class feedback lesson in a U.S. elementary classroom, or a full tutoring session with a progress check. If you have filmed one with permission, tell us.
